The 2026-27 competitive season officially got underway on July 6, and with it comes a new home base: Inter Academy Rockers competitive teams have moved practices to the Great Park Sports Complex in Irvine.
The move reflects where the program is headed. As several of our competitive teams step up to compete a flight higher this season, training at Great Park gives our coaches and players the space and environment to match that ambition — better fields, more room to work, and a facility that matches the level our teams are now competing at.
That "play up" philosophy is the through-line for the whole season. Rather than optimizing for the easiest path to a good record, Inter Academy Rockers is deliberately seeking out tougher competition — because that's how you find the gaps. Every scrimmage, every tournament, every hard-fought result this summer has been about the same thing: identify what needs work, then go to work on it.
It's early in the season, but the direction is clear. Our competitive program is built around continuous development, not shortcuts — and a new training home at Great Park is one more piece of the foundation for the year ahead.
